The Rundown for 2010

Okay, since people have told me I should update my blog and knowing how much we love to follow the Pierson's life through their blog, I have decided to give this blog thing a try. I will give you a rundown of 2010 and then try to be better at updating on a monthly basis.

Spring in Texas

Blue Bonnets

Makayla got a free cookie from the library for reading 600 minutes. We took her to her favorite spot to watch the ducks and eat her cookie.

Brad and Julie Bateman are two of Makayla's favorite people. They took Makayla to the Zoo one Saturday while mom had to work. She had a great time. It was hard for me to be without my girl for a whole day.

Birthday Girl

Makayla turned 2 this year. We celebrated her birthday at our Sidwell family reunion. She loved her princess cake. She got a necklace and bracelet from her mom.

Happenings in Arizona

We celebrated Frank and my birthday by getting free food. We drove around to three different restaurants on our birthday and got free meals.

Frank and I celebrated our third anniversary at Bennihanas. We each got a free birthday gift card for signing up on their website. These are the people that sat at our table with us.

We went to the Arizona State fair. It wasn't as big as the one in Texas. Everything is bigger and better in Texas, right? Makayla talked about riding on the Merry-Go-Round and "Bee" ride for a month afterward.

Tanner

Tanner Laurence Paraboschi was born on October 27, 2010 at 8:04 p.m. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. My water broke at 4 p.m. I took Makayla over to my sister's house by 4:30 p.m. We left for the hospital at 6 p.m. Frank was waiting at the emergency entrance with a wheel chair when we arrived at 7 p.m. and he was born an hour later.

Halloween

Makayla was a flower for Halloween.

Makayla loves rainbows. She went with her dad trick-or-treating three times. At one of the places she got a rainbow painted on her arm. She thought that was the greatest thing ever. It was almost as great as the candy and that is saying a lot.

Christmas pictures

Here are some of the pictures we took for our Christmas card this year. It was tough to find good ones with a 2 1/2 year old not cooperating and a 2 month old needing to go to sleep.

Gingerbread house troubles

Every year we try to make a gingerbread house. We usually make the dough. This year we thought we would buy a kit so we could have a house and not a fallen shack. Didn't work. This year we couldn't even get it to stay standing. We still had fun. Makayla had the most fun eating all the candy that was suppose to go on the house.

Our Annual Nativity role play

This year we acted out the nativity with my sister's family.

Jared was the donkey, Frank the sheep with the two shepherds riding on him, Roman and Brie. Makayla and Geneva are Kings and Kathie is Mary. I got to be the angel and narrator.

Christmas day

Makayla told everyone for a month that she wanted a pink bike from Santa Claus. That was the first thing she saw under the tree Christmas morning. She was so excited.

She also got a kitchen set and an apron that grandma made her. It came at the perfect time because she had just recently started "making lunch" with the food in the pantry.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day. Makayla was so excited not only for her own presents but also for Tanner's.

Our smiley guy with his monkey aunt Carmella gave him. Frank named him Mariano. After the famous Yankee relief pitcher.

Blessing Day

Tanner was blessed on January 2nd. My parents drove down from Utah to be here. He wore a 6 month blessing outfit at two months. Frank is hoping he will take after his uncle Larry and be 6'3".

We had a breakfast brunch with my parents and two of my sister's families.
